Our Journey: The Lindentech Story

Lindentech began with a simple desire - to make business owners’ lifes easier.

In 1995, a young and ambitious Daniel Linden founded Lindentech with a simple goal: to use his computer skills to help family and friends. As Lindentech expanded, Daniel began offering complementary services and branched out into different industries. By 2005, the company shifted its focus from providing IT hardware to offering comprehensive services.

After more than 13 years, Daniel decided it was time to prioritise the people aspect of the company and sold Lindentech to David Harvey and John Broweleit. Under their leadership, the business embraced the dawn of managed services, entering a new era of growth and innovation.

In 2011, Lindentech's journey took an exciting turn when Jawid joined the team. Initially renting a desk from John Broweleit at 150 Stirling Street, Jawid was starting his own managed services business. However, as fate would have it, he ended up spending more time at Lindentech, doing contract work. One thing led to another, and soon Jawid and Lindentech joined forces. This marked the beginning of a new trajectory for the company, characterised by aggressive growth and a renewed focus on people management.

Jawid's leadership saw Lindentech triple in size within five years. His emphasis on a people-first culture led to incredible growth and success. In 2015, Jawid realised that his true talent lay in helping people realise their potential, rather than just IT. He continued to improve how the team was looked after, and the company maintained its steady growth trajectory.

In August 2021, Richard took over as Managing Director, and Jawid stepped out of the chair allowing him to follow his lifelong dream of becoming a commercial pilot. Richard has since grown the business further, continuing Lindentech's commitment to developing its people.

Today, Lindentech boasts more than 10 employees who have been with the company for over five years, and more than four employees who have been there for over 10 years. The team collectively reads over 300 books per year and passes more than 40 industry exams annually. This dedication to personal and professional development ensures that Lindentech continues to provide the best possible service to its customers.
