Built in 1893, The Melbourne Hotel is Perth’s oldest hotel. Completely redeveloped in 2017, the heritage listing
placed on the hotel meant that the original building needed to be preserved as closely to the original as
possible. During the redevelopment a new building was added to the hotel which added an additional 60 rooms
to the current 23. The changes meant that a redesign and implementation of the entire technology
infrastructure was required.
Due to the age of the hotel we came up with many obstacles…??. We also needed a solution that would meet
the ever-changing requirements of a hotel. Lindentech ensured that security and high availability were of the
highest priority. The Project involved many technology Vendors that all had specific requirements to be met and
integrations between all of the applications across the hotel whilst maintaining the integrity and security of the
Lindentech tailored solution
Lindentech needed to deliver a network platform capable of delivering WiFi, IPTV, Telephony, Data and Security
services for both hotel administration and it’s guests. We were also responsible for supplying and maintaining
the server infrastructure to provide a platform for their on-Premise CMS applications, which meant the
integration of the CMS and other Hotel services. required.
Future Plans for Our Client
Lindentech were to Deliver a network platform capable of delivering WiFi, IPTV, Telephony, Data and Security
services for the Hotel administration and the Guests. We were also responsible for supplying and delivering the
server infrastructure to provide a platform for their on-Premise CMS applications which also meant the
integration of the CMS and other Hotel services. Lindentech managed the project and worked to ensure all
3rd party contractors involved were provided the technology and access as and when it was required.
