We have been nominated for our work with HelpingMinds, a project which modernises telephony for their workforce, enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving flexibility for their staff, who deliver essential, free mental health services across Western Australia.

Case Study: Modernising Telephony for HelpingMinds

Lindentech’s project with HelpingMinds involved transitioning from an on-premise telecommunications platform to a cloud-based solution using Access4’s UC Xpress. This shift aimed to fully migrate HelpingMinds’ IT infrastructure to the cloud, reduce operating costs, and enhance operational flexibility.

Our project involved modernising HelpingMinds’ telephony system, enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and improving flexibility for their staff who deliver vital mental health services across Western Australia. We took a comprehensive approach in our work with HelpingMinds, coupling the technical transition with extensive training and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition and optimal use of the new system.

Key Challenges 

HelpingMinds faced several challenges with their existing on-premise telecommunications system, including:

  • High operating costs.
  • Limited flexibility with different handsets across 11 locations.
  • Poor call quality and reliability.
  • Inefficiencies with mobile staff using personal devices for calls.

Lindentech’s Solution 

Lindentech transitioned HelpingMinds to Access4’s UC Xpress, a hosted cloud solution. 

Our approach included:
  • Assessment and Planning: Conducting a thorough evaluation to understand HelpingMinds’ needs and challenges.
  • Pilot Program: Implementing a pilot with five users to test configurations and ensure system reliability.
  • Deployment: Reprovisioning handsets across all locations and providing softphone applications for mobile devices.
  • Training and Support: Provided extensive training and ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition and optimal use of the new system.
